Trust & Security
The short, plain-English version of what SendClear does and doesn't do with your data. For the full legal detail, see the Privacy Policy.
We only read public DNS
The checker looks up your domain's public DNS records — the same information anyone can query with a tool like dig. We never ask for login access to your inbox, your DNS provider, or your domain registrar. There's nothing to grant us, because we never need it.
Nothing is stored unless you ask
Run the free checker and the result is shown to you and then gone — we don't keep a record of the domain you checked. The only exception is if you explicitly click "Email me this result," in which case we save just enough (your domain, your email, the overall result) to send it to you.
No account, no password to leak
SendClear doesn't have a login system at all today. There's no password database sitting somewhere that could be breached, because there are no passwords — the free checker needs nothing from you, and paid monitoring is tied to your email and domain, not an account you sign into.
DMARC reports never contain message content
If you opt into DMARC report translation, mailbox providers send us only the standard aggregate report — sending server IPs, message counts, and pass/fail results. No subject lines, no message bodies, no recipient addresses. We only ever request aggregate reports, never the more sensitive forensic kind.
Payments never touch our servers
Monitoring subscriptions are billed through Stripe's own checkout. We never see or store your card details — Stripe handles that directly and is PCI-compliant on our behalf. You don't even need to give a card to start the 14-day trial — only if you decide to keep it running past day 14.
A small, named list of who we use
Stripe for payments and Spamhaus for blacklist lookups (only your domain name is sent, nothing else) are the two most relevant to what you'd actually worry about. The full Privacy Policy lists every provider we use and exactly what each one sees.
